The Strawberry River Ranch - 3 1/2 Miles of Private World Class Trout Fishing The Strawberry River Ranch located in Duchesne County encompasses 4,884 acres of some of the most beautiful river land in Utah. It reaches extensively along the Strawberry River between Starvation Reservoir and the Strawberry Pinnacles. The ranch section of the river has historically held a healthy population of large brown trout, Rainbow trout, and Colorado River Cutthroat. In the fall, the Ranch sees Brown trout and Kokanee salmon spawning up from the adjacent Starvation Reservoir. The Ranch is conveniently located between Strawberry Reservoir-- considered to be one of the top-producing lake fisheries in the state-- and Starvation Reservoir, another excellent fishery. The Ranch is a 1-hour drive time I-40 from Heber Valley which is currently one of the fastest growing municipalities in the country. 100 ac/ ft of water included. Update: The Strawberry River is fishing well. This three-mile stretch had not been fished for decades and is now proving to be exceptional.
